GROUP MAIN OBJECTIVES

To develop image and video compression algorithm for noiseless and noisy channel (eg: radio channel).

To develop efficient image/video compression algorithms suitable for real-time hardware and software implementations.

To implement real time image and video compression algorithms using software (on general purpose PC), programmable Digital Signal Processor and Digital Hardware.

To develop video based applications such as videophone, video conferencing etc.
